Sometimes, I want to do a Find Usages even when I don't currently have the
intended element in my editor. This isn't possible, but I think it might be
useful sometimes.
Currently, if you do Find Usages when the cursor in the editor is not over
an element, you get an error.
Would it be reasonable that, if you did Find Usages in this situation, it
gives you a dialog allowing you to enter the element you want to search for?
This might work OK for classes - it could be similar to the Go To | Classes
action. For methods and fields, it might be more ackward; maybe the Go To |
Classes window could be extended in this case to allow a "." and
method/field completion?
Calum
