VAJ and Eclipse have this great feature to find classes in unknown
software (that would include yours ;-) by allowing wildcards in the
name.
*Test would find all test cases. *Factory would fine all factory
objects.
This is very powerful because it let you search your classpath based on
your design name patterns.
It also helps you fill in the blanks when you are not sure of the name
of a class (especially the beginning).
In VAJ and Eclipse I would rarely look at the package view.

Ant defines internal/private targets as those that lack documentation.

Following this definition Idea could only list those (or offer a toggle
button to filter) with documentation.

Note that the next version (or maybe it's a few down the pipeline) of
ant
does this for you.

I don't think I would ever select this form of formatting myself, but if

it's a format that enough people want I don't see why it can't be
supported.

This request was posted several time before (also by myself) but
there was never a statement from IntelliJ about this.
It would be *VERY* nice if s.o. from IntelliJ could comment on
the feature request to integrate AspectJ into IDEA.

I would like to have an
add to sourcepath
or
remove to sourcepath
command on the context menu for directories in the projectview

... and when you'll support display of archive files in the projectview
I'll also need add/remove to class path

I have been told by Intellij support that a vi keymap has already been
planned, however I would like to put in my official request for this
addition. In my humble opinion this functionality would make your
product
all the more appealing to those programmers coming out of the Unix/Linux

world where "vi" is a staple.

I have to go to the cvs file view to see if a file is up-to-date or

In the project and source view and in the editor tabs, the filename is
colored green for unknown, blue for modified and black for up-to-date.

Sorry, Pepijn, unknown files aren't colored green (at least for me).
They
are colored black and *added*, not yet-committed files are colored
green.

+1 especially for the classpath part.

Subject: [Eap-features] JSP Local Classes Bug
Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi

If I type the following as a JSP scriptlet:

                     class X { }
                     X x = new X();
                     String z = x.toString();

Then references to X are shown up in red with a 'can't resolve symbol
X'.
This code is fine in the regular java editor, but seems to fail in JSP.
The JSP code works fine when saved, it's just the editor that flags an
error.

Cheers,
Ben.

On the other hand... I would trade in my copy of IDEA for a trained
monkey
that could code.
