I would add to the exclude_from_browning list, 
        don't display in brown, in the CVS panel
        the source code that is not compiled.

Example :
  For debugging (ctrl-B), I added the httpUnit java source to the source path,
  BUT I also required the compiler NOT to compile it, as the httpUnit.jar is already 
on the classpath.

  It annoys me to see the httpUnit/src directory appear in brown in the CVS file panel
