I am using Intellij EAP Build 533. There is a visual effect that isn't really a bug, but is annoying to me, so maybe we could have an option to turn it off. Let's say the 'Find' tab is open at the bottom of the window. Now I compile a file. The 'Find' tab disappears, and the 'Javac' tab pops up. The file compiles without errors, so the 'Javac' tab promptly disappears again, and the 'Find' tab returns. I find this whole tab behavior disconcerting. There is all kinds of visual activity at the bottom of my screen, yet nothing really happened - the file just compiled without errors.
So, I'd like to offer two suggestions as alternative behavior. First, maybe the 'Javac' tab could stay put even if there are no compilation errors. I'd actually rather have it stay put, and just see a message saying that the file compiled without any errors. Second, maybe the 'Find' tab could stay put unless there were compilation errors, in which case the 'Javac' tab could pop up.
My compliments again on a fine product. When tab behavior is the biggest problem I have, the product is pretty solid.
