+1 on being able to lock windows when we I want to hold on to a class I
have browsed to but not edited.

Subject: [Eap-features] can browsing be less messy?

Hi there.

If I browse (ctrl-B) through lots of code to see what is going on, I end
up
with lots of open windows that I don't need. A really useful feature
(option?) would be for the code navigation keys to reuse the current
pane
if no edits have taken place in it.

That way, I can hop around in a few classes whilst only creating a
single
new window. Likewise, the Back and Forward navigation would also use
the
current window if there had been no edits.

A more sophisticated version of this would be to have the Lock Tab
functionality apply to edit panes as well as the Find and Run windows.
The
navigation keys would not reuse a locked or edited window, so I can
browse
for a bit, lock the tab somewhere interesting, then carry on browsing
and a
new edit window will appear (or the least-recently-active of the
unlocked
windows would be reused).

Hmm, I think that would make me very happy!

Cheers,
Dan
