Hi,

We are planning some LiveTemplate improvements in Ariadna. Also we’ll implement some feature to create template from code.

Best regards,

Mike Aizatsky.

+1

How about also adding suggestions to the contents of the pasted text?  For instance, if I use some text like:  ThisIsMyObject.class, give me a choice to use $CLASSNAME$ for ThisIsMyObject.

To create a new LiveTemplace for some sample code,

you need to

   1. Select the Text

   2. [Ctrl-C]

   3. click 5 times on various things,

   4. [Ctrl-V] the text in the template text area

   5.  Click on the Abreviation text area

   6. Enter an abreviation for the template

   7. OK

There could be a very simple way to save 6 clicks, and 1 [Ctrl-V].

I suggest using [Shift-Ctrl-C] to create a new LiveTemplate from the selected text :

   1. Select the Text

   2. [Shift-Ctrl-C]

no more : 3. click 5 times on various things,

no more :    4. [Ctrl-V] the text in the template text area

no more :    5.  Click on the Abreviation text area

   6. Enter an abreviation for the template

   7. OK
