Hi all,
This has been a recurring request on this list. The problem is
that some people think it will take up valuable screen real-estate. Others think
it will make selecting tabs more difficult because you have to make sure you
place the mouse pointer on the tab and not the little button. I personally like
the eclipse solution.
But if this is to be solved in a way that would suit everyone
I suggest the following solution. Keep the tab as it is with a right-click menu
for closing all etc. The difference would be that a simple
right-click closes the editor (allows you to simply and quickly go
along the tabs closing editors in one click but without taking up screen
real-estate with a button). To display the menu and select a menu item
you simply right-click and hold while dragging the mouse to the required menu
item. Letting go of the button over the item selects it. I have seen this
implemented in AnyJ and it is strange at first but extremely useful once you get
used to it.
What
do others think about this?
Thanks
Scott

Just some ideas...
* provide the tabs for the sourcefiles with a (little tiny)
close-button
(yeah, like in Eclipse), so you can close a
file with just a mouse-click
instead of right-click +
left-click.
