Hello, the coloring of custom files in IDEA is pretty weak (sucks, I may say) There's a project called "Colorer" to color all concievable programming languages. http://plugring.farmanager.com/downld/files/colorer4ever.lib.rar It is a standalone liblary (not-Java, though) and there's a FAR manager plugin which uses the library to the coloring: http://plugring.farmanager.com/downld/files/colorer4ever.far.rar (FAR itselfs is avaialbe at http://www.rarsoft.com)
The idea is simple: The configuration for coloring is defined with regular expressions in XML-ish (not-XML, though) files. It's easy, extendable a lot, anybody can do this, too (or better convert thouse to XML first ;). You'll be amazed by the HUGE number of languages that are already supported. Lots of people have contributed configuration files for various languages. And that really works! By simply supporting HRC format in that way or the other you'll get the coloring for everying people might want (SQL, all kinds of scripts and makefiles, etc) Sincerely, ____________________________________________________________ Roman Elizarov <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (Octet Corporation) _______________________________________________ Eap-features mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-features
