When I program by intention, I usually just ignore the popups and the
red text.  Then when I finish what I was working on, I go back to an
error, press Alt-enter, and work on the next method.

Have you tried this method?  If so, and you still prefer to hit
alt-enter right away, then I'll give that a try.  And in that case, +1
on the suggestion.
