In addition, I miss a feature that was in Tortoise CVS which I have used in the past.
When attempting to check in a file that has since been updated in the repository, the commit fails with the message to update the file first. After addressing the file, the comment entered previously is not retained and it can be quite frustrating to enter it again, sometimes with the result that I enter a briefer message or occasionally none at all. Maybe it is good punishment for not habitually updating from the repository first! :) Paul. ---------------------------------------- Message History ---------------------------------------- From: "Robert Hedin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>@lists.jetbrains.com on 17/06/2002 16:39 AST Please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED] DELEGATED - Sent by: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> cc: Subject: [Eap-features] CVS Dialogs I don't know if anyone else has this issue, but I thought I'd mention it-- Our policy is to provide a brief note regarding what changes were made to a given file when committing it to CVS. This entry is made in the "Log Message" field on the CVS Options pane when perfoming a CVS commit. So far, so good. At times, I find myself "missing" the OK button just a bit-- especially when making a large number of changes. When I do this, like as not the cursor slightly past the "e" in the text for the checkbox "Do not show this dialog in a future"-- resulting in the checkbox being inadvertently checked. Unfortunately, I generally realize that I missed and compensate, but don't notice the checkbox is on until too late. This means that I have to go into the project properties to re-enable the messages on commits, taking time, slowing things down etc. Note that I'm not sure this needs to be changed, although I expect that most people have a policy (either do or don't for each function) and don't need to be prompted each and every time. I just find it very annoying when I get bit. Also, I expect that the dialog should read "Do not show this dialog in THE future" just to pick nits.
