I wonder how other's migrate their settings and custom definitions from build
to build? Do you just copy all the xml files from config over and risk any new
additions? I personally copy/paste the changes from files like other.xml (where
my customizations mix with IDEA default settings) and then copy entire files for
things like keymaps or tools where the file contains all my changes.
So a feature request would to be to have project specific items like TODO and
External Resources be part of the .ipr project file since they are closely tied
to the project code. Like different code branches (different teams) have
different conventions for TODO marking and the Ext Resources are usually a set
of dtd's and tld's for a specific project. Right now to get around the project
specific issues I add everything. At the very least if this data was stored in
separate XML file it would make the migration from build to build much easier.
