Personally, I NEVER do both at the same time, and have always wanted them
separated.  They're just fundamentally different operations.

But you are absolutely right, if you don't get rid of the dialog, then there
is no reason to separate them.  The dialog should go.  Gone.  So +1 to your
suggestion.
