There is quite number of settings that can currently only be made on the IDE level, but really should be made on the per-project level. What comes to mind immediately is:
1. Class templates. I happen to work on commercial and open source projects in parallel, where you obviously need different templates 2. Indent and other code settings. E.g., Some projects use tabs, others dont. 3. External Resources.
