The IDEA website says: "When your subscription ends, you will be able to purchase additional packages at a discounted price of about 50% off the new user price."
So I guess that if 3.0 is not some special new edition, then it counts as a normal update: You just have to buy an additional ~200 USD update package valid for the release period.
