Unicode support in IntelliJ seems a little spotty. I can insert
unicode characters by copying from charmap, but the characters are
converted to question marks when the file is saved. Similarly, UTF-16
files aren't loaded using the correct encoding. Also, it would be nice
to be able to select the encoding to use when compiling with JavaC using
