Hi, Just my take on things, I think it would be better to have an option, in the run/debug tabs perhaps, to tell idea to compile using a specified ant target in one of the open build files.
This way any extra stuff (such as moving the jar files to a web server etc) can be done in one go along with the pre-run/debug compile etc And the pre-run/debug compile can still be automatic.
