A useful extension to this would be if IDEA offered to create the path when required.  Eg. if I hit Ctrl-F9 to build the project, a dialog pops up saying: "Output directory not found" with a Create and Cancel button.

According your website, Pendora should be released today! Since you extended the EAP license up to november 15, I assume this has been delayed. If this is correct, when do you expect to release Pendora?
