Hi, I think what you are describing is called "VisualAge for Java", isn't it ;-)? This is the feature of VisualAge I miss the most in IDEA... this "always-in-sync" and "auto-compile" feeling... BTW, someone (Eugene?) answered a mail some weeks ago saying that the "full incremental compile" (or something like this) will be supported in one of the next releases.
