Hi,

The following may either be considered as a bug or a feature request (depends on how one looks at it):

1) When I first “compile modified”, the Message Console would come up and start the compiling process.

But when I invoke it the second time, the Message Console doesn’t come up anymore.  Instead, I have to click on it to find out if the compilation succeed or failed.

FYI:  I am using incremental jikes.

Feature request:

2) Since IDEA is able to highlight in red the erroneous code.  Wouldn’t it be possible for IDEA to provide a small popup window (like File Structure Popup) to list all the erroneous code for a given file (or even files or the whole project!!!).  Then developer can just click on one of the code in err and the editor would bring up the line where the error is found.  It will be really really cool and useful if such feature can be done to the entire project!

3) Is it possible to switch from “Run” mode to “Debug” mode while an application is still running?  I know with what comes with Sun JDK it is probably not possible.  Just trying my luck here…

thanks,

Mike Liu
