The directory represents a subpackage of my java files.  I only have java files so I don’t know if this also applies to other types of files.  All my stuff are in one drive.  Here’s the exact steps:

1)       Start IDEA

2)       Loaded the project (C:\project\intellij\myproject.ilr).  The project (source) path is (C:\project\src\java\)

3)       Switch to window explorer.

4)       Copy a .java file from some other directory into c:\project\src\java\com\blah\test

5)       Switch back to IDEA

6)       Set focus on the project tab and choose File | Synchronize…

7)       Nothing happens.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Mike Liu

This seems to be a bug. Does it happen for all files (and on all drives for you)? Could you provide more details about the directory where this happens?

Subject: [Eap-list] Synchronize?

Hi,

I noticed that Pandora does not synchronize with file system for newly added files?  Is this true?

In other word, I just added a file directly to a specific directory under my IntelliJ project.  I switch to IntelliJ and click “Synchronize” and nothing happens.  Is this a bug?

Setting: W2K, Build 525, JDK 1.3.1

Thanks,

Mike Liu
