yes, you are right.  I switch back to java.exe and everything is fine.

thanks,

Hello,

Do you use javaw.exe instead of java.exe to launch IDEA?

Best regards,

Subject: [Eap-list] Compile in background

Hi,

Currently I have W2K, JDK 1.3.1, Build #524.

When I tried to invoke the jikes compiler, I see a new DOS Console popup with the title “…\jikes.exe”.  This didn’t happened before when I was using Build #521.  Is it possible to turn off the popup?

At first I thought it was the “Compile in background” option.  But after toggling it a few times, it still does the same thing.  It’s gets to be quite annoying after a while because my IDEA window keeps loosing focus.

BTW, the same problem when I run any external tools too.

Thanks,

Mike Liu
