We normally have 'clean' as an ANT target in all build files. You can then
simply invoke that target from IDEA's ANT window.

+1. I currently use a quick-hack batch file as an
external tool to do that. It would be nicer if IDEA
supported this natively. Maybe this becomes available
if full compile dependency checking is implemented?
