I've been having problems for quite some time with sub-menus under KDE. The problem is that it is difficult to select items in sub-menus -- I can click on a menu item...but about 3 of 4 times it doesn't do what I selected -- nothing happens. This is especially noticable on sub-menus of pop-up menus.
The problem recently became worse - now sometimes the sub-menu gets disabled -- and then it will never go away. This also happens with the main menus (e.g. the Code or Refactoring menus)...but at least they will go away when you click back on some source code and then go back to select the menu several times. However, on pop-up menus, the menu _never_ goes away -- IDEA must be shutdown to get rid of the abandoned window (which sits on top of IDEA and is thus impossible to work around). These problems started sometime ~October. At the same time I had installed a new Mandrake (8.0) with a beta version of KDE...so I figured it was a KDE problem and didn't report it. Since then, I have upgraded to a release version of KDE (2.2.1), but the problem persists. I have used other Swing apps (InstallAnywhere, MagicDraw) without this problem, so I am now convinced that it is an IDEA problem. Is anyone else using IDEA under KDE? Do you see these problems? ********************************* Chris Merrill [EMAIL PROTECTED] ********************************* _______________________________________________ Eap-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list
