Even fancier would be:
Allow formatting profiles to be created/exported
Specify a format to apply from when a file is checked out of source control.
This is applied once when the file becomes writable and then before every
save.
Specify a format to apply when checking in, which reformats the code to
the common standard before returning to source control.
