Funny, I have the total opposite problem.
I'm using Mandrake 8.1 with KDE desktop. I use jdk1.3.1_01 and it works, if I switch to jdk1.4beta3 it hangs. Another strange KDE quirk, sometimes if I'm highlighting text and do Ctrl-C to copy IDEA will hang. I think it's because I'm doing it so fast that I might have the down arrow pressed at same time? I haven't seen it when using IDEA in gnome1.4 IDEA rocks The only thing I think it's missing is in some dialogs, like when selecting classes to include on classpath, there is no HOME button for the project, it would be nice to have a HOME button that takes you to the project root directory, I keep having to navigate each time? :-\ --ekiM Andre Mermegas wrote: >Been having this problem often, i dont know why >im running on linux/jdk1.3.1_01 after i configure all >my ide options and settings, and create a new project. >Idea often hangs at the splash screen, sometimes it clears >up if i remove .ipr files,system/cache/* or replace my >config directory with stock config directory. > >I've been using EAP since about 513 ithink, been happening >since i started. > >Heres the odd thing, for further thought, if i change the JDK >to 1.4.0beta3 in idea.sh, it never hangs. > >Any ideas? >Reguards, > _______________________________________________ Eap-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list
