I have not changed explicitely the font size because everything is small, not only fonts, thus I had to change the DPI. However, I have just tried your solution and it doesn't change anything. Text in IDEA is still as small as before, only the window title bar is bigger ...
I'm surprised no other person have this issue as it seems very common for laptop users.
