hey... this is not really IDEA specific (maybe we should discuss it non-publicly). anyway, maybe it is of general interest ;-)
to find out which X server is running, run "xdpyinfo" in a console. a small howto about installing ttfonts can be found here: http://www.suse.de/de/support/howto/aafonts/ since it is in german, this is how it basically works: - install the tool called "xf86tools" (you can get it as an *.rpm from various public ftp servers) - run "fetchmsttfonts" - run SuSEconfig - enjoy... i'm using "dialog, 12" in general and "courier" in the editor (if you're using IBM's jdk you can even use "Courier New" which looks better; with Sun's sdk this doesn't work for me (it leads to huge line-spaces)) hope this helps and prevents you from switching back to windows ;-) cu: rahel once installed, you can get the fonts via "fetchmsttfonts" Reto Badertscher wrote: > Hello, > i'm using Suse 7.3 too.
