There are 2 different settings "Tab size" (which means the number of
spaces shown instead of '\t' character) and "Indent size" (see "Indent and
Braces" page). The indent size means the number of spaces to be used to indent
code (as well as to insert on pressing the "Tab" key). Spaces are replaced
with '\t' character if "Use tab character" is on.
