Actually, at least part of this functionality is planned (e.g. drag&drop for reordering editor tabs). But please note that we don't list ABSOLUTELY ALL planned things on the site. The list would be simply unreadable then! We don't list features that are considered as very small things (even if they could be important for anybody) are just not listed. I love all of the features that IDEA offers but this is one thing that I absolutely can’t stand about the editor. I frequently have 20+ files open at a time and having to search through them to find the file I need is a pain at best and a complete waste of time at worst.
