This feature is very useful for all the reasons that others have already explained here. But when coupled with the featured support for arbitrary file types, it becomes a very very powerful feature. You are assuming that we all work with only java but that is not true. I work with java as well as sql to a very large extent and occassionally perl. The ability to focus my attention on specific areas in a large sql file is very important to me. It would also let me grasp the structure of my whole file at a single glance. If I could do that in Idea, then I don't have to switch editors just to do sql or perl.
I would consider this a very important feature. Keep up the good work!! Kudos to Idea team! regards, Chandra Kuchibhotla _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
