EASY:
I see what it's doing.  Red made me think there was an error so that color
is out.  Maybe a border around the highlighted text?  I was happy with the
old functionality (I just looked to see where it was assigned) so I may not
have the best answer.

HARD:
It almost looks like we are talking about two functions:
 1) show usages
 2) show assignment usages

Items found for #2 are a subset of those found for #1.  Perhaps this needs
another keystroke (ALT-SHIFT-F7)?  Or a dialog that asks to show only
assignment usages or regular usages or both?
