I think that the fact of using "name" to specify a bean id is something quite particular so you may not assume it. But I think you could use it as an add-on error detection, that would be configured, by telling IDEA which attributes points to bean ids. The bad side here is that you would have to configure it - but it would be only once for the project or when altering taglibraries. The good side here is more flexibility and power in the error detection. In my opinion it is worth the work for the user to configure it.
