just to make sure the issue does not get distorted: This was NOT specifically referring to an UML diagram. What I had in mind was a class hierarchy view of the WHOLE project, which would give a project overview from the OO/inheritance viewpoint, something that I see lacking from IDEA until now (I havent been able to get much benefit out of the existing single-class hierarchy view).
In fact, I think a textual display as in the current views would even do a better job at giving a quick overwiew than an UML diagram. >If this is referring to the UML diagram in the IDE, then I disagree. Don't >misunderstand me, a UML view would be neat, and I might even use it once or >twice. > >But it's a complicated thing to impliment correctly. I would rather see >some other group perhaps use the up-and-coming open API to make a UML >plug-in, and see the Intellij team focus its time on IDEA's unique >strengths, such as refactoring support, _useful_ code generation, and >innovative editor tools. _______________________________________________ Eap-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list
