I was wondering if anyone can help - I've been a user of IntelliJ since
early 5xx releases, and think it's a fantastic product. However,
frequently - many times a day - it crashes. Crashes usually occur during
debugging, copying classes, changing IDE options - but not in any kind of
predictable way. Usually just a restart is required, however it can
occasionally leave IntelliJ in some kind of inconsistent and unstartable
state, which requires re-installation.

I'm running JDK 1.3.1_01 on Win2K SP2. The machine is a dual processor
550MHz PIII with 512MB RAM.

As I have had occasional similar problems with other Java applications on
the same box, I presume the issue may be with the JDK, Win2K and a dual
processor machine. However I can't find anything about this on Sun's site.

Could anyone shed light on this issue?

Regards,

Liam.
