Valentin, In common usage, the term "mnemonic" refers to a clever device for remembering something. For example, "Spring Forward, Fall Back", is a mnemonic device for remembering in which direction to adjust the clock at the start and finish of daylight savings time. In contrast, most people would not consider "Set the clock forward in the Spring, set it back in the Fall" to be mnemonic. Rather, it's a plain and simple statement of the thing to be remembered, not a help in remembering it. I suppose this is a small matter, but it just doesn't make sense to call "1" a mnemonic for 1.
