Hello Kirk, I generally agree with you. It would be _cool_, if IDEA could generate a JAR file via wizard -- especially for users who aren't experienced with ANT. But it's not really necessary, because creating an JAR file isn't a task, that you do one time in a half year -- you do it more often and therefor it's predestinated for a script like ANT.
And, last but not least, we love IDEA, because it's a famous, lightweight IDE, that assists us in writing (good) code. It is not and should not become a point-'n-click IDE for Java-babies.
