When using some window managers in a "focus follows mouse" mode, the "auto-completion" popup can steal focus from the editor so you can't type, or the editor steals focus so you can't scroll the completions list.
This happens specifically when using PWM window manager (http://www.students.tut.fi/~tuomov/pwm/). To make sure this was not a Java caveat, I tried using Codeguide in the same environment and there were no focus related problems with the popup. So it seems like a limitation or flaw in IDEA's GUI code. If any developers an IntelliJ use Linux or other UNIX, please try using IDEA under this WM to see what I mean (it's only a 90K download, and very nice). BTW, this bug is also in older versions. --- Also, just wanted to say thanks for IDEA. It is, by far, the best IDE I have ever used. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx _______________________________________________ Eap-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list
