I realize this doesn't have anything to do with IDEA - which is FANTASTIC :-) - but the website does make it harder to 'sell' the product to Management because it isn't as slick as the competition.
A professional redesign of the intellij website would help considerably! For example - the homepage makes it hard to tell what the company and products are with all the distracting Banner and Cube Ads! The 3 identical navigation bars on all pages are redundant and distracting. IntelliJ marketing/webmaster folks should look at the Perforce.com site for ideas. For me the important items I want to find QUICKLY are: 1) What is the product, and what does it do briefly? 2) How can I download an eval? 3) What is the price? 4) How do I get support? 5) How do I contact the company? 6) Who else is using the product, and what does it integrate with? The Perforce site has this all on the homepage. A simple and quick fix for Intellij would be to replace the main page with the IDEA page: http://www.intellij.com/idea/ (but remove some of the graphics like the top banner ad) By the way, most folks I know think the product name is just "IntelliJ" and pronounce it "in-tell-eh-jay". IMHO - "IntelliJ" is much catchier, memorable, and easier to find on the web than "IDEA".
