I'd love for that to be the case, sadly it's not much of an option right now
given the state of IDEA on the other JDK's!

Note that it isn't all IDEA's fault. JDK's on other platform (gui stuff,
specifically) often have bugs that are not present in the win version (and
vice versa). The downside is that there is a much smaller likelihood of
there being workarounds for other platform bugs that for win bugs.
