Hey Marc,

I used to have the same problem with jBuilder and 2000 if i had two
keyboards defined within NT, make sure you have only one keyboard type
defined in the control panel -> keyboard settings

Subject: [Eap-list] 611: Keymapping " -> @ freakout still occuring -
IDEA or JDK?

Hi,

Today again I have seen this rare problem I reported some weeks ago.

Basically, the IDEA editor forgets about my system's locale-specific
keyboard mappings. I don't know how to reproduce it, and it is rare, but
basically it forgets I have a UK keyboard and thinks I have a USA
keyboard.

I press " on my keyboard and I get @
I press # on my keyboard and I get \

...and so on.

This is 100% not something with my machine. All windows apps use the
correct mapping, at the same time as IDEA is not.

Also and more convincing I have discovered that it is only the IDEA
-EDITOR- pane that shows the incorrect mappings. If I open an IDEA
"Find..." dialog and press " I get ", as expected. This is in the same
session as when the editor is showing @ when I press "

So, there seems to be some strange problem with editor key mappings.

The only workaround is to exit and restart IDEA loading another project
does not fix it.

Marc
