+1 for selecting type of member to display in the code completion pop-up.

Another neat feature would be to hide members that are not
defined/overridden in the specific class, but in a super class. Often I
want to see methods from JTree, but I'm not interested in the tons of
functions that JComponent offers.

I agree.

I think there's another extension that would be more worthwhile for me
(YMMV, of course). I sometimes know I want a field but don't remember
what it is called, and then I have to scroll through a million methods
in the completion popup to find the right field (or the other way
around). A few times I've thought it would be nice to have a way to
reduce the list to only a certain kind of member -- maybe by pressing
Ctrl-F to only show fields, or Ctrl-M to only show methods, when the
popup is shown. Does anyone agree that this would be useful?
