Replying to my own message... It seems to be related to permissions of some sort. When I log out of my normal user account that has privileges on the corporate network (XP Power User account) and into the local administrator account on my machine, it works fine.
Permissions on all the involved files and directories seem to be ok. Any Windows XP guru out there know what the disconnect might be? Against the wishes of my IT department, I am now running solely as a local administrator and have "hard-mapped" my network drives using my network account ( instead of using the Active Directory services to do it for me... ). Actually make my life easier in many ways.... b -----Original Message----- From: Brian Majewski [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, April 03, 2002 1:38 PM To: EAP List (E-mail) Subject: [Eap-list] CVS Login and #614 Greetings, just upgraded my box from NT to XP and took the "opportunity" to flatline it and rebuild it from scratch. I also took the opportunity to move to 614 seeing as I had to create my project settings over. I now seem to be having a problem with the CVS integration. Using WinCVS or SmartCVS, I can attach to the pserver, checkout a module, etc. I create a project in Idea, and activate CVS Integration. The CVS window shows the files, the timestamps, etc. When I go to Commit a file, the CVS console says (as expected at first) : cvs.exe status: authorization failed: server [servername] rejected access to /usr/local/cvsroot for user [username] cvs.exe status: used empty password; try "cvs login" with a real password Idea throws up the password box, and I enter it, and immediately I get an error dialog that says "Access Is Denied". The pserver string is constructed properly and like I said other CVS tools can login. Any thoughts?
