I think I have similar experience as well, but mine started from build 615.
Same thing, can't quite pinpoint the exact problem. However, I was using the same project all along. BTW, I like the new icons! It's much more professional looking - gets kudos from managers, I'm sure. :) Thanks, Mike Liu -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Ian Stevens Sent: Tuesday, April 09, 2002 01:50 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Eap-list] 616: IDE suddenly became *REALLY* slow with increased CPU consumption ... For what it's worth, IDEA suddenly slowed to a crawl on my machine for no apparent reason. The IDE was handling well, I created a new project and then, coincidentally or not, the UI became quite unresponsive with something on the order of 10-15 seconds between updates. In addition, the green/amber/red source indicator in the top right-hand corner of the window has stopped updating. Shutting down IDEA, loading it up again and/or switching projects does not change the response time. The IDEA java.exe process is also running on upwards of 50% CPU on my 1.7Ghz w/ 512MB RAM. OK, this is very odd. I just removed the entire IDEA subdirectory and re-installed build 616 and I still get the same problem. Rebooting gives the same result. No other apps appear to be this unresponsive. I'll get back to you if I have any other information. ian. _______________________________________________ Eap-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list _______________________________________________ Eap-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-list
