1. IDEA randomly kills entries in a HashMap when you debug. Try to debug code that adds five Strings to a HashMap and you will see what I mean.   2. If you are using Jikes, it is not possible to exclude directories from the compile. It works fine with javac but jikes always compiles everything - whether you like it or not.   / Rickard Nilsson
