Apologies if this has been reported before, I didn't see it in a quick
scan of this list's digest.

Using intellij-616 on Windows XP Pro. When I open the
IDE and load a project, the IDE consumes 50% cpu and
steady memory growth, beyond the JVM heap size limits.

After deleting FileWatcher*.dll, the problem goes away (yahoo!) and
this warning appears:

Native FileWatcher failed to load. Message is: no FileWatcherNT in java.library.
path

Apparently IDEA is trying to load the NT FileWatcher on XP. Suspecting that the
Win2K filewatcher would work, I tried renaming FileWatcher2K.dll to
FileWatcherNT.dll, and removing the NT version. This did not appear
to solve the problem.

Also, the problem was apparent with using JDK1.3.1_03, IBM 1.3.0, and
JRockit 1.3.1.

If there is any other information I can provide, I'll be happy to oblidge!

Cheers
- Edwin
