Title: Message
The gray color does not say that the variable is not used, but rather that it's not accessed.  This means that you can assign a value to it but never read.

Running version 618, it told me that a variable was never used.  I commented out the variable but then when
I compiled the class the variable was used and then was undefined.   Sounds like this part needs a little
more work.

Also in a jsp file it seems to have trouble reading some declarations.  It says some primitive java arrays are not defined but they are defined with jsp declarations.
