Hi,
This is Cyrus Birdy from Cummins IT. I would like to know the following.
We have a old Tape Drive IBM 7208-232 running on V4R4 version with 7G 8mm cartridge.
Now we are going for V5R3 version with 3581-L23 Tape Drive which does not support the tapes belonging to this old drive. According to IBM, V5R3 does not support 7208-232 drive.
The one way to transfer this data to V5R3 version is by using the DUPTAP command but that would involve buying extra tapes. We do not want to buy such a huge number of tapes.
Is there any way out to copy this data to V5R3 version Tape Drive ? All the replies and suggestions most welcome. What is the best way to transfer the data to V5R3 version ?
Any help on this issue will be highly appreciated.
Awaiting your early response.
Kind Regards,
Cyrus Birdy
