I know from experience that when you run STRPCO/STRPCCMD from emulation software that does not support STRPCCMD, it'll return the exact error message that Adriana described. 'Required PC program (PCO.EXE) is not active No communications with PC can occur.' (The error message is inaccurate, of course. You can make this work without a program called PCO.EXE, IBM assumes that you'll name your program the same way that they did. Even on a Linux system where programs don't end with .EXE, it'll still say this.) If you don't believe me and want to see for yourself, go to http://tn5250.sourceforge.net and download that TN5250 client (it's free). Try the STRPCO/STRPCCMD and you'll see that it gives the message that Adriana describes. Adriana, Assuming that an alternative to STRPCCMD is desired, here are some thoughts: a) One solution might be to use an alternative program. Client Access comes with an "Incoming Remote Command" option. If this is configured properly, you can run commands with the RUNRMTCMD CL command instead of using STRPCCMD. (Don't get the two confused, the incoming remote command option is not used by STRPCCMD, and RUNRMTCMD doesn't care if your 5250 client supports PCO) I provided info about setting up Incoming Remote Command and RUNRMTCMD at the following link: http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200510/msg01677.html There are other (3rd party) software packages for Windows that enable remote commands as well if you don't want to be limited to IBM's. b) Kevin Vandever wrote a remote command facility in Java that can be used from pretty much anywhere. I haven't tried that one, but if you're interested in that possibility, there's an article at the following link: http://www.itjungle.com/mpo/mpo091202-story05.html Good luck ------------------------ Yahoo!
