Hello,
I've just created v1.1.x branches in the different EasyBuild
repositories, which is equivalent to freezing the current codebase for
the v1.1.0 release.
The release is way overdue (it was planned for Dec 31st 2012), so we
agreed not to postpone it any further.
We will now run a full regression test on these branches, to make sure
there are no regressions compared to v1.0.2.
When the full regression test passes successfully, we'll release v1.1.0.
Test results will be available in
https://jenkins1.ugent.be/view/EasyBuild/job/easybuild-full-regtest_v1.1.x .
The milestones of open pull requests or issues that are not bugs were
moved to v1.2.0.
Any open bugs with a v1.1 milestone will be fixed for v1.1.1.
In the future, we will be more explicit about the release planning, we
realize it hasn't exactly been very clear nor strict up until now.
After the v1.1.0 release, we'll announce the code freeze and planned
release dates for v1.1.1 and v1.2.0.
We aim for a monthly major release (e.g. v1.2), and probably weekly
minor release (e.g. v1.1.1).
regards,
Kenneth
