We received sufficient feedback that we could now close that poll; done. The days that stand out are centered around 11-13/3/2013 & 29-30/4/2013; At the moment the first timeslot is in March and it's the focus of attention, reserving the April slot as future opportunity (location to be discussed). Quick summary; some info I have got in informal manner talking to you all: * The interested parties are explicitly still giving a green light, so far. * There seems to be a common interest around the GPU thematic (not exclusively) * The Nicosia/Cyprus location allows for synergies with the LinkSCEEM project * We need to finalize the decision ASAP, so that ticket bookings can commence. It may be reasonable to assume that the hackathon meeting will be of similar format to previous known ones: https://github.com/hpcugent/easybuild/wiki (roughly: half day Training, half day Technical Discussion, 1 day Coding) A typical hackathon is an open meeting of technical nature with emphasis on on-the-spot knowledge transfer, in the most hands-on approach possible. Kenneth & Fotis propose to also use the day 13/3/2013 on best-effort basis, especially if any of the session zones must be extended. This will allow for better amortization of monetary & time costs, so it is highly desired. Now, it should not be me pre-emptying much of what each party wants to discuss and, there are a little bit of formalities to attend to, too. How to follow-up on this: * People in Cc. start exchanging their needs; if no-one raises a veto over next 24hrs we should assume that we have no major roadblocks. Basically state: What you EXPECT and how you PREFER to be involved. * If you want to be included in the Cc., let me know and will do that for you. * We will attempt a skype session on: Wed between 10am and 12am (BRUSSELS time); sorry for presetting the skype slot, but there is not much choice this week; kindly try to put a proxy if you have difficulty to make it. best, Fotis
